11/08/09

WOW. That was a pretty good last race if I have to say so myself!!

Congrats to ALL of us. There were 60 different Jr Mini racers that competed with each other over the course of the '09 season. That's awsome!

We had a great finish to an overall good season, I appreciate all of your support.
There were 12 different Winners over 14 events, that's pretty good in itself.

Look for 2010 rules to be out in the next week.

Parents and car owners: If you were in the pits at Grand Prairie Speedway, you witnessed what the ultimate goal is for this series. It was kids being kids! This series started with of all things knowing the cars were not equal, nor would they ever be, due to many reasons. I still want you know that I dont care how much money you spend or how fast you can make your car, I care about the kids and their driving abilities and their willingness to compete in a responsible athmosphere. I want them to be able to compete periodically with kids they would not be able to compete with, without a series such as we have. Folks, we have kids in Houston that have become best buds with kids from BIG Tom Bean, Texas... that is worlds apart and relationships that would never have come together.
I have elvoved from wanting to see them all on the race track together to wanting to see their interactions with one another in the pits. It's simple things, not about how mad we can get at each other.

I also have to be the one to keep in mind, these kids do not build their cars. I really want you to keep that in mind before you send your Jr driver to tech area. I am here for the kids, however, in taking the next step with the series, in the end I can only hope you don't give me any reason to take from the kids. Folks, if its in our upcoming rules, it will be something that can be inforced!

We are again talking of venturing out into different areas of the state and reducing the number of events on our schedule. More info on that later.

Our season banquet will prolly be early January, more on that as well.

Thanks all, 2009 was good year for us all.
